The Petersburg Economic Development Council operates with a nine member volunteer Board of Directors, and two full-time staff. The local municipality appoints three Board members, and the remainders are representative of the local community. Currently, the Board is composed of representatives of the fishing industry, academia, the visitor industry, downtown business, city government, financial services, and health service provider.
