Petersburg Branding Survey A Success!
Thank you for your input in our community survey! We had over 200 responses and are now working to compile the results and implement a plan to improve our community marketing efforts. Stay tuned for more information on the branding effort this coming spring!
Petersburg Seeks Input of Community to Help Guide Branding Process
The Petersburg Economic Development Council, Chamber of Commerce, and the City has partnered with North Star Destination Strategies to develop a community “Brand” for marketing the city to visitors, residents and businesses in the year 2012 and beyond. At the heart of Petersburg’s brand will be the its competitive differentiator -- in other words, what makes the community special so it can stand out in the marketplace.
PEDC Accepting Scholarship Applications
The Petersburg Economic Development Council (PEDC) announces the availability of a $1,000 Adult Education Scholarship. The scholarship is intended to assist a Petersburg resident to take post-secondary classes via distance education, or to attend a vocational training workshop.
“The scholarship is a way to invest in the people who live and work in our community. It supports their efforts to acquire the education they need to advance in their current or future occupation.” said Nancy Berg, PEDC Board President. “
Eligible applicants must be a resident of the City of Petersburg, 18 years or older, and enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree or certificate program related to their career goal.
The PEDC is a nonprofit organization charged with providing leadership and direction to the community's economic development effort. The PEDC strives to work in concert with residents to shape and direct the organization's investments in local projects.
